James Jordan – Partner

James graduated from the University of New South Wales, completing his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce in 1986. He commenced legal practice in 1987 and became a sole practitioner in Kogarah in 1992 and laid the foundations for the current firm.

James has extensive experience in property law, including residential and commercial conveyancing, leasing and mortgages. He also has significant experience in litigation across criminal law, family law, probate and estates, commercial litigation, negligence, insolvency, debt recovery and other related areas.

Over the years, James has acted for both large and small clients, all of whom are equally important to his firm. His clients have included churches, banks, community groups, veterans’ organisations, foreign governments, quasi-government organisations, medical practitioners, small businesses, sporting organisations and, of course, families and individuals.

James has extensive experience appearing in all jurisdictions and courts at both State and Federal levels, including the High Court of Australia, Supreme Courts, District Court and Local Court. He has also appeared before specialised tribunals including NCAT, ASIC and AAT. In addition, James has experience appearing before ICAC and has represented numerous clients in the Building Industry Royal Commission, the NSW Police Royal Commission and the Prison Royal Commission.

James is the legal advisor to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and the Greek Consulate General in NSW. He serves as Chairman of St Basil’s Aged Care and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. James has been both past and present chairman of various school, community and sporting groups and served as Mayor of Kogarah Municipal Council in 1997 and 1998.

James is fluent in the Greek language.

Robert Djundja – Partner

Robert was admitted as a solicitor in 1998 when he commenced working at the firm previously known as Xenos Jordan Solicitors. He subsequently became a partner with James Jordan in 2002, when the firm became known as Jordan Djundja Lawyers.

Robert has extensive experience across a broad range of legal areas including personal injury, property law, commercial and civil litigation (including building and construction law), business law and criminal law, among others.

He represents a broad spectrum of clients ranging from multi-national and national companies to small businesses, families and individuals.

Robert has experience handling handles matters both nationally and internationally for domestically based and overseas clients. He has been involved in major business transactions, negotiations and disputes across various industries, significant property dealings, and serious criminal matters including murder, manslaughter, sexual assault, large-scale drug matters and fraud.

Robert also works closely with families and small business owners on a daily basis, providing the same level of professionalism, dedication and attention to detail that he offers to large corporate clients.

Robert is also able to speak in the Serbo-Croatian language.

Nicholas Paneras – Solicitor

Nicholas was admitted as a solicitor in 2011 and has been employed with the office of Jordan Djundja since 2004. He practices extensively across a broad range of legal areas, including criminal law, commercial law, civil litigation, conveyancing, family law, and wills and estates.

Nicholas provides specialist advice on the operation and conduct of criminal and commercial court processes, including sentencing proceedings, driving offences, defended hearings, and trials. In the family law jurisdiction, he acts in divorce proceedings and advises clients in relation to applications for property and parenting orders, as well as the preperation and negotiation of binding financial agreements and parenting plans.

He also advises and represents clients in debt recovery matters, defended civil proceedings and estate planning, including applications for Grant of Probate and family provision claims.

Acting for a diverse client base, Nicholas is known for delivering clear, practical and results-focused advice across complex legal matters. He is also fluent in Greek, enabling him to effectively assist Greek-speaking clients.

Apollo Papathanasiou - Solicitor

Apollo was admitted as a solicitor in 2025 and has practised with Jordan Djundja since his admission.

He works across a broad range of practise areas, including commercial and corporate law, family law, wills and estates, criminal law and property and conveyancing matters. Apollo is committed to providing clear, practical advice and supporting clients through every stage of their legal matter with diligence and professionalism.

Ranjita Bhandari – Office Administrator

Ranjita has been employed with our firm since 2001. Ranjita is highly regarded by all of the firm’s clients for her pleasant but professional manner. She handles the firm’s accounts (debtors and creditors) and book-keeping. Ranjita is also able to communicate in the Hindi and Urdu languages.

Anica Stojanovski – Legal Assistant

Anica has worked for Jordan Djundja since 1994 and provides legal and administrative support to James Jordan, assisting with file management, client communication and the preparation of legal documents. She is committed to ensuring matters are handled efficiently and professionally.

Domina Stamatis – Legal Assistant

Domina has been employed as a legal assistant with our firm since 1996 and has extensive experience in the areas of property dealings and conveyancing. Domina has particular experience in working with property developers and is also fluent in the Greek language.
